Clinical Coordinator

Positions open in Gainesville, Jacksonville and Pensacola

Candidate will respond to donor referrals from local hospitals and ensure that each referral is reviewed for donation suitability. Will work with families to obtain consent for donation and manage the physiology of the donor to ensure maximum availability of organs for transplantation. Will work with transplant hospitals to place organs according to OPTN guidelines and assist in the recovery of organs in the operating room. Must demonstrate ability to assess data reflective of the donor’s status and interpret appropriate information needed to provide excellent donor medical management. Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Qualifications:

Candidate will be a graduate from an RN or PA program with two years of experience in critical care or emergency care preferred; a respiratory therapist with five years’ experience in critical or emergency care; an individual that has three years’ experience in an organ procurement organization (OPO) or contracting with an OPO as an OPC; or one who has earned a master’s degree in human donation sciences. Must be able to demonstrate computer skills related to web-based applications, hospital electronic health records, Word, Excel and PowerPoint or the equivalent. Previous organ/tissue donation experience and/or certified procurement transplant coordinator preferred.
